Today’s Readings:
1 Corinthians 12:31-13:13
Psalm 33:2-5,12,22
Luke 7:31-35
It is a most desirable thing to live and walk in love. Before you misunderstand me, I am not referring to the emotion of love and the embarrassing action of feeling uncontrollably attracted to a guy or a lady. The feeling of attraction based on sensory pleasure is not love. So, what is love and how do you fall (or should I say walk) in it?
Let us take the description of love given by Saint Paul in 1 Corinthians 13 and restate them:
Love is knowing who and what your priorities are.
Love is patience with yourself as you work on your weaknesses and bad habits.
Love is monitoring your daily progress and being kind with yourself.
Love is recognizing your gifts and abilities and trusting yourself.
Love is accepting God as your origin and end.
Love is being humble and unassuming.
Love is receiving correction and creating room for personal growth.
Love is accepting your limitations.
Love is openness to new perspectives and criticisms.
Love is being easy-going and cheerful.
Love is contentment with the gift of oneself.
Love is focus on giving than on taking.
Love rejoices in goodness and frowns at evil.
Love is forgiving yourself every time you fail.
Love sees failure as a test to grow from.
Love is a daily choice.
Love endures difficulties patiently.
Love believes that bigger and better things lie ahead.
Love is hopeful for the future without giving up.
Love will go on forever.
Love is a gift from God to those who remain in a relationship with Him.
Love is giving your best (not your worst) to people and things.
Love is putting yourself in third place (behind God and others).
What is love to you?
I wish you love, the best version of it, pure, warm and unconditional love. I pray that you
become so filled with it that it flows into all you think, say and do today and always. Amen.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”
If you said the prayer, Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and meet the resident reverend, pastor or priest.
Prayer:
1. Lord, help me to love as You do, and love others that I come in contact with also, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
