Today’s Reading:
I John 4:1-6
“Behold, do not believe every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” (v.1)
We are in the end-time and so many happenings around the world are being displayed on social media about the church. It is so pathetic that the hullaballoo also happens among servants of God. But the Bible did not leave us in the dark as to know the sheep in wolf’s clothing. The first thing Apostle John enjoined us to do is to test the spirits. It means to examine them based on the scriptures because by their fruits we shall know them. To check their sayings with their doings. Not to rush to believe their messages though they have sugarcoated mouth. To test means to look at their background and their home. Are they actually born again? Do they show the life of one who has been to the cross? Is their messages pointing people to the cross and preparing them for the second coming of Christ? It is not a gainsay that false prophets are now in the world and so many people have been their victims, but we need to test them before we accept them. Time is a major factor in determining their real lifestyle.
The second thing we need to look out for to recognise these false prophets is that they do not confess that Jesus came in the flesh and He is from God. They did not belief in the incarnation, that Jesus was fully God and fully man. They were called the anti-Christ. These false prophets have several ways of getting their prey. They come up with false and fake revelations so as to scare and enslave people thereby siphoning them of their belongings. Sexual immoralities are coming among them. Several standing homes have hit the rock and scatter when they came in contact with them.
One needs to be sound in the Word of God, know and stand in the truth, be prayerful and live a holy life so as not to fall victim of these prophets. Stop running from pillar to pole looking for what is not lost. Wait upon God in your local assembly; believe the God of your local Church Pastor and you will experience unprecedented breakthrough.

I shall not be a prey in the hands of fake prophets, in Jesus name
Every fake prophet perpetrating evil in this end time, Oh Lord expose them, in Jesus name.
Everyone that has been caught in their web, Lord deliver them, in Jesus name.
Lord, arise in your power over the church before wolves finish the sheep, in Jesus name.
May you take back your place in the church oh Lord, in Jesus name.
