GOD OF VENGEANCE

Today’s Reading:

Psalm 58

The righteous will be glad when they are avenged, When they bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked. (v. 10 NIV)

Psalm 58 was written by David. King David fought battles before he became king of Israel and throughout his reign. Out of his weaknesses, he cried unto God for deliverance from his enemies. The psalmist singed that God should break the teeth of the wicked. Also, the enemies should vanish like water that flows away; when they draw the bow, let their arrows be blunted. David is optimistic that only God can fight his battle for him. Only God can give us total victory over our enemies. David is aware of the power of God over all creation, because He is the creator. When he’s about to conclude his song in vs. 10, “the righteous will be glad when they are avenged, when they bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked. Psalmist acknowledge the action of God when He took vengeance upon his enemies.

In today’s bible reading, let us follow the example of David when you are be tormented by your enemies. Cry unto God in prayer and song for deliverance over your enemies, so that you will be glad and be celebrated. Accept Jesus Christ today in your life and be free from satanic attack in this world of evil. May God help you.
