HEAVEN IS MINE

Readings:

1 Corinthians 9:16-19,22-27

Psalm 84:3-6,12

Luke 6:39-42

You will make heaven. Our lives, as children of God, is lived in the certainty of making heaven. Making heaven is not a probability. You must make heaven because that is why God created you: to know Him, love Him and serve Him and your neighbour (KLS!), so that at the end of your life, you will be with Him in heaven.

Saint Paul saw his preaching mission as a vocation by which he has becomes “all things to all men and women…to save some at any cost” (1 Corinthians 9:22). Also, in his walk with God, he runs with the intention of winning (1 Corinthians 9:26). There will be challenges and difficulties. The saints faced them and were victorious. As you run your heavenly race, may God grant you the desire and determination to win in Jesus’ name.

Here are some things to keep in mind today:

  • Be conscious of your relationship with God.

  • Your life is a message to others, whether you live it for God or not.

  • Be determined to make heaven—heaven or nothing.

  • You are called to lead others to God by your way of life.

  • As you follow Christ, others are following you.

  • You will not make heaven alone and you will not go to hell alone.

  • If you are ignorant of your mission and call to follow Christ, you will mislead others.

  • Live the same life in private that you claim in public and vice versa.

  • Be the best version of yourself with the little time you have to spend in this world.

  • Lead the people in your life, beginning from your home and extending to the larger world.

Prayer:

  1. Lord, help me take my relationship with You seriously.

  2. Lord, give me patience as You work on me.

  3. Lord, give me determination to serve You always.

  4. Lord, may I never be the reason for anyone’s downfall.

  5. Lord, open my eyes to my weakness and help me to work on them.

  6. Lord, may I draw closer to You daily.

  7. Lord, may I make heaven at the end of my life. Amen.

  8. The world and its evils shall not swallow me, in Jesus’ name.

  9. Nothing shall steal your peace. Heaven is your destination in Jesus' name. Amen.
