Herod Antipas, the tetrarch of Galilee had arrested and executed John the Baptist because John criticised Herod’s marriage to Herodias, Herod’s brother’s ex-wife and multitudes following him. The Pharisees came to tell Jesus that Herod was seeking to kill him too. However, it was improbable that Herod wanted to kill Jesus for he later had the chance to kill Jesus at the time of Jesus’ trials but he did not (Luke 23: 11). These Pharisees were proclaiming the lie to intimidate Jesus to cease his teaching at least, they wanted him to depart from their territory.
No one hears the news of his death and will be dancing and rejoicing rather fear will grip that person. But the response of Jesus to that statement is worthy of note. Jesus said, ‘Go and tell that fox’. Though Herod was a king who was very powerful and by human standards he had all the arsenal and weaponry to arrest and kill Jesus but Jesus first brings him down to the level of a fox, an ordinary animal. At creation, God has made man to rule over all creation including animals, so Jesus saw him as nothing but an animal. The second statement Jesus made was that ‘I cast out demons today and tomorrow and the third day finished’, Jesus wasn’t intimidated at all. He declared that nothing can stop him from fulfilling his destiny. And indeed, he fulfilled his purpose on earth.
What statement is intimidating you? Your friends’, parents’, bosses or doctors’? Nothing can determine your destiny, you are unstoppable, and your generation is waiting for you. You have an assignment to do on this side of the divide. You were designed and crafted for a purpose, you can’t afford to die with that potential. I am announcing to you as God’s servant that your time is not over yet. Don’t throw a pity party around yourself. Get up, and see a new glory showing forth. Speak against any negative statement holding your life captive. God said it, I hear it, believe it and so it is. I am unstoppable, Halleluyah.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”
If you said the prayer, Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and meet the resident reverend, pastor or priest.
Prayers:
1. Whatever is placing limitations upon my life, be roasted by fire in Jesus’ Name.
2. Powers that stop glorious children in my family, I am unstoppable in Jesus’ Name.
3. Arrow of untimely death fired at my star, be diverted in Jesus’ Name.
4. Mention your name, I arise and take my place in destiny in Jesus’ Name.
