NEVER STOP PRAISING HIM

Today’s Reading:

Psalm 145:1-5, 17-21

“Every day I will bless You and I will praise Your name forever and ever.”   (Psalm 145:2)

There are so many prayer warriors but few praise warriors. A lot of people bombard the heavens with requests through prayer but few flood the heavens with praise. Prayer is more of a withdrawal while praise is a deposit. Prayer is good but the scripture says God inhabits the praise of His people. When we pray God hears and sends answers through angels but when we praise, He comes down himself.

Praise is a way of appreciating God for who He is. Praise shows approval or commendation of what God has done. Praises open the court of heaven and gives us access to His presence. Praises make one’s heart joyful and free of worries and cares of life. It is an eye-opener to the worth or worthiness of God. It is a way of worshipping Him. When we praise Him, He raises us. It gives us access to the innermost part of God. Praise is a way of lifting God above all other gods and through this, He draws us to Himself.

My praise will never cease

I will praise you every day

I will lift up Your name forever {Psalm 145:2 [The Voice Version]}

As Christians, our lives must be full of praise. We must cultivate the habit of praising God not just on Sundays when we go for worship but daily. Some of the advantages of praises include:

  • A person who is full of praise will complain less.

  • Praises free our hearts from worrying which rub us of God’s blessings.

  • Praises help us to see less of our problems and more of God.

  • It helps us to put God at the centre of our lives and position us to hear God.

  • You can’t be full of praise and be full of depression. When praises come, depression disappears.

  • Praise has a way of lifting a sick heart up from the sick bed.

  • Praises help us to grow in faith. There are some of our hymns that help us to see the greatness of God thereby helping our faith to grow.

  • When we praise Him for what He has done, we are positioned for another blessing.

Let praise be your daily spiritual exercise. Never allow your circumstances to hinder you from seeing God’s faithfulness. Praise Him in season and out of season, in trouble and in success. The devil is annoyed and confused when we praise Him in troubles. The greatest miracles have been experienced when His people praise Him. Examples are Paul and Silas: Acts 16:25 – 31, Jehoshaphat: II Chronicles 20:15-22, Jesus: John 11. As you praise Him, your miracles will come speedily in Jesus’ name. Having tried every other thing, why not try praises? Heaven awaits your praises. It is well with you in Jesus’ name.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”

If you said the prayer, Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and meet the resident reverend, pastor or priest.

Prayer:

  1. Compose a song of praise, write it down and sing it throughout this week.

  2. Lord, I thank you for all you have done, doing and what you will do, Halleluyah.

  3. Oh Lord, grant me the garment of praise.

  4. Every blessing the enemy has stolen due to my murmuring and complaining, l receive them back by praise in Jesus' name.

  5. Let my spirit, soul and body receive strength to praise God in season and out of season in Jesus’ name.
