Psalm 27:7-12
Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice; have mercy also upon me and answer me. when thou said, Seek ye my face, my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me, put not thy servant away in anger: thou has been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies; for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
In Today’s verses of 27:7-12 David requested for the mercy, presence and instructions of God because this is most paramount to his life. The onslaught of the enemies and other unpleasant experiences are inessential, compared to being in the presence of God. To seek the face of God is to continually be in His presence be it in our closet or in worship gathering with people of God. Seeking the face of God is also the primary duty of believers/Christians who long for a cordial relationship with God (vv. 8, 9; Ps 24:6; Jer. 50:4; Hos. 3:5; Zech. 8:22).
Unlike the wicked who will always want a temporary advantage (78:34-36), the godly searches for the Lord as the deer pants for water in a dry land (Ps. 63:1; Matt 6:33). The godly will wisely behave while waiting for the Lord to resolve the unpleasant situation. After the order of David, even if those nearest and dearest to us reject, disappoint us, abandon us; the mercy, love, care and concern of God for us will never be removed from us (v. 10; Deut. 31:6, 8; Isa. 49:14, 15; Heb. 13:5).
How do we seek the face of God?
Be a friend of Jesus and surrender your life to His lordship.
Acknowledge that you are frail and needs the guidance and intervention of the Holy Spirit in your life.
Prayer is a key to walk with God. Pray always all manner of prayer - making supplication, intercessory, prophetic, warfare, worship and thanksgiving prayer.
Read, study and meditate on the word of God consistently.
Forgive in love all those that have offended you, intercede for them.
Care for the perishing and intercede for them
Be a generous giver all the way.
Be faithful in your dealings with fellow men and women.
Do to others as you would want them to do to you.
As much as possible, be at peace with all men.
Live the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and preach it.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for You are new unto those who diligently seek You, in Jesus name.
Thank You because you are the Controller of the universe, in Jesus name.
Thank you because Your word is Ye! and Amen!
In the storms of life, Father encourage, teach and empower me to seek You all the time, in Jesus name.
Lord, consistently build your wall of fire around me and my family in Jesus name.
Every familiar spirit operating at the edge of my breakthrough, be consumed by fire of God, in Jesus’ name.
I reject familiar spirit in the boat of my life, this year 2023, in Jesus name.
Any familiar spirit secretly operating in my calling and Ministry, roast and burn to ashes, in Jesus’ name.
Evil investment of the enemy in Christian homes and our youths, be nullified by the blood of Jesus, in Jesus name.
O God arise let there be physical evidence of the manifestation of our answered prayers in this nation, in Jesus name.
