Mark 4:35-41

This month, we step out in faith. But not just any ordinary faith. It draws strength from God Himself. I know you are wondering, “Is it possible to have faith without God?” Well, some people choose to believe that they can “provoke God” into action by the strength of their prayers and good works. But what if these do not work? What if all your plans fall through? What will you do? When all pretensions to faith fail and doubt begins to circle the corners of your mind, you have arrived at the shores of faith.
So, what is faith in practical terms?
It is the assurance of things hoped for.
It is conviction of things not seen.
It is divine submission, even when we struggle to be in control.
It is allowing yourself to be moved and directed by divine impulse.
It is trusting God to provide, even when your options are limited.
It is receiving divine strength in moments of weakness.
It is setting one’s mind on heaven as our eternal home.
It is to patiently await divine visitation.
It is freedom from the enemy of our salvation.
It is failing to capture your difficulties in words but choosing to rest in wordless prayers.
It is faithfulness to God.
It is serving God in faith instead of fear.
It is living in holiness and righteousness despite the difficulty.
It is realising how much God loves you and loving Him in return.
Faith is to call on Jesus amid the storm.
Faith is meditating on the Sorrowful mysteries of Christ’s life and uniting my sorrows with His.
It means doing what lies in your power while trusting God to come through for you.
It is allowing Jesus to speak peace over the storm of your life.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”
If you said the prayer, Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and meet the resident reverend, pastor or priest.
Prayer:
Lord, it has pleased You to grant me the privilege of seeing the fourth month in the year. Heal my heart from the pains and malice of the past months.
Fill me with Your divine love and with the freedom to serve you in spirit and truth, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lord, I trust in You, and I place the rest of the months in the year into Your hands. May they all go the way You have planned for me.
Take perfect control of all that concerns me and perfect them unto eternal life through Christ our Lord. Amen.
